DMT-Hardware is focused on embedded devices and 10 inch rack hardware for labs and homelabs.

Embedded hardware and compact rack development

Welcome to the site! I’m Dave, the person behind DMT-Hardware.

I’m an electrical engineer working in embedded hardware, firmware, and high-speed digital electronic design. DMT-Hardware is where I present my own devices and hardware designs, developed with a focus on practical use, solid engineering, manufacturability, and a clean user experience.

A major direction of my work is dedicated 10-inch rack-mountable equipment for makers, electronics labs, and homelab users. This format is becoming increasingly relevant for compact setups, but the market still lacks purpose-built devices for it. My goal is to help fill that gap with hardware designed specifically for real use, not generic repurposed equipment.

Each design is developed with the full system in mind: electronics, firmware, mechanical integration, usability, documentation, and manufacturing. The focus is not only on making hardware work, but on making it understandable, maintainable, and suitable for real environments.

The site also includes a blog, where I share development updates, design plans, technical notes, and personal thoughts behind the projects.
